Printing to a generic text file:
Some form system such as accounting and others allow at printing time to write to a file. To use this option the user would select from their application to print to a file. In some cases the user may have to type in a file  name this file name should be the name of the Reform format the has been pre-defined in the Reform editor and the location should be the same as the spooler directory in Reform Setup. The reason this option is not recommend, there are a few steps involved for the user but there are many ways to automated using additional utility such as Shortcut

Reading from a common text file or temporary print file:
Some form system such as accounting and others create a print file in a temporary or defined directory. Many form manufactures make an interface to Reform please consultant your form system manufacture for such interface information. The setup window below can be customize to fit many type of text file outputs. Steps to follow:
1.) Spooler Directory should be change to the directory to where the text file is located.
2.) File Name to Monitor can be used to identify the prefix to the output file and contain wildcards like ? but must start with a number or character.
3.) File Extension to Monitor can also hold wildcards like * and ? but only can be used in the network versions.
