Form Designer / Editor
Reform Form Editor is the program that allows users to enhance forms generated by their application. Using a WYSIWYG approach, you will find the Form Editor easy to use. In order for Reform to generate the printout that you need, you must create a template for each of your forms. The template serves as a new layout for each of the forms generated by your application. It is similar to pre-printed forms where the text is printed on the selected area on the form. Whenever you generate a form output from your application. The form always has an extension FOM.

To Start from Windows only: Start > Programs > Reform > Form Editor

The Design Layer tab is where you can place the information the way you would like the outputted information to look like. You can add data, text, graphics, shapes, bar-codes, change font sizes etc.
In the example below we are using a simple purchase order generated from an accounting system.

There are two methods:
1.) You can design the form from scratch with Reform design tools. This is the best method allowing full control over your form changes and the clearest look, but time consuming.

2.) Using a scanner to scanning your forms into your computer then saving the acquired images as a picture file (tiff, jpeg, bmp, pcx, wmf) formats. Within the design layer use the image function to place the picture in Reform and stretch the image to the boundaries of the form.

The Text Layer tab is where you crop the information that you want to use on the Design Layer
